Upcoming Stewardship Work Parties


Saturday, February 23rd – Freeland Wetland Preserve Tree Planting

  • Saturday, 2/23/19 from 10am – noon.
  • Freeland Wetland Preserve: Just past Petosa Corner on Newman Road in Freeland. You’ll see the sign!
  • Our goal is to re-plant native trees that have been damaged by rutting deer, and return the vegetation to its most biologically stable state. We’ll remove blackberry and any other invasive plants we identify!

Monday, March 25th – Outdoor Classroom Cleanup

  • Monday, 3/25/19 from 10am – noon.
  • Maxwelton Outdoor Classroom: 7015 Maxwelton Rd.
  • Our goal is to freshen up the Classroom building before our Spring season trainings and classes begin in April.

Wednesday, April 24th – Freeland Wetland Preserve (High School Earth Day Stewardship)

  • Wednesday, 4/24/19 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm
  • High School students from SWHS will take part in a stewardship work party at FWP to celebrate Earth and Ocean Month.

Saturday, April 27th – Robinson Beach Clean Up

  • Saturday, 4/27/19 from 10am – noon.
  • Robinson Beach: Turn off Mutiny Bay Road onto Robinson Road. Beach at first turn.
  • Our goal is to clean up the beach and remove any introduced species.
