More Wetland Talks Coming in 2016

 Exec Director Program Note:
We will be starting up 2016 Wetland Talks this summer. Like our Wetland Wednesdays series last year,  these events will include a short educational presentation, and a fun, easy hike or activity! Meanwhile,  read about our last wetland Wednesday and reminisce about summer 2015. Wetland Wednesday with Janet Stein
Whidbey Watershed Stewards hosted another successful Wetland Wednesday at the Freeland Wetland Preserve on August 19th, from 1-3pm.

Our featured speaker was Janet Stein, Noxious Weed Coordinator for Island County. Her talk, Island Flora: Beauties and Beasts, was followed by an informative hike through the Preserve.

Here are a few photos (courtesy of Rick Baker) of our great event. Thanks so much to Janet Stein, and to all those who came out to participate!
